President’s Fundraiser to Benefit the Society

Dr. Heather Evans, MD, MS, FSIS, President, Surgical Infection Society, invites you to join her at the inaugural President’s Fundraiser to Benefit the Society taking place on Monday, May 12, 2025 from 6:00-9:00pm at Union Trust in Philadelphia. This special evening provides a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with colleagues, celebrate our shared commitment to advancing the field of surgical infection care, and support the vital work of the SIS.

As the Society continues its recovery from the significant financial impact of Covid, we are hopeful this fundraiser will aid in helping sustain the Society in the coming years. Donations, which are tax exempt, from this event will be used to fund awards and scholarships, assist in keeping membership dues accessible to all members of the surgical infection community, and offset operational costs.

After 45 years, the Society is counting on contributions from the community to help achieve its mission to advance the science of surgical infections though research, education, and collaboration among healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes. Your presence and support mean a great deal to the SIS. This event is not only an opportunity to celebrate our past achievements but also to secure the future of the Society.

Beyond the price of a ticket, Dr. Evans encourages you to consider either a sponsorship of the dinner or a donation to the Society. Your generosity, at any level, will directly support scholarships, awards, and the development of new educational resources. Even a small contribution can make a significant difference.
