Educational Quiz: Prepping for the OR

Welcome to our video-based education series, Prepping for the OR!

We have created a series of education videos on performing and maintaining surgical sterility in the OR for all members of the surgical team. The videos take approximately 30 minutes to watch and cover surgical attire, water-based and waterless scrubbing, gowning and gloving alone and with assistance, and maintaining sterility in the OR. Please click here to view the videos on our YouTube channel.

Below you will see the quiz that corresponds with the video series. It consists of 30 multiple choice questions to test your knowledge of sterile surgical technique and should be completed after watching the videos. After completing the quiz, you will be redirected to print your Proof of Completion letter.

Below are two documents you might find helpful when preparing for the OR. The Water-Based Scrub Timing Chart summarizes the steps of a water based scrub and the SIS Summary Cards review surgical attire, scrubbing, and gowning and gloving. The summary cards are the perfect size for slipping in behind your hospital ID so you can review before a case!
